Environment Senior Manager from the World Bank, Michele de Nevers spoke about the impacts of climate change on developing countries and the role that the World Bank Group can play in promoting low carbon growth. She spoke on a plenary on adaptation to climate change on October 1 at the Governors' Global Climate Summit 2 in Los Angeles, California.
"When people think about climate change, they throw up their hands and think 'It's too big a problem, there's nothing I can do', but when you bring it down to the state level, people realize this is a local problem...and something they can deal with" said Michele speaking in an interview at the conference.
