At the request of the G-20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors in April, the World Bank Group, in collaboration with other multilateral organizations such as the IMF, the OECD, and the Regional Development Banks, is working on a background paper looking at potential new sources of climate change financing. The paper is scheduled to be delivered to the G-20 in October. The process is designed to present ideas, analyses, and a range of options to G-20 countries. Each country is sovereign and will act accordingly.
